This mixed-use development was recognized for adding to the vibrancy of the Stonewall corridor and all of Uptown.

9 Noteworthy Multifamily Developments Debuting in 2022!

The project team for the Star Metal Residences in Atlanta, GA is proud to be named one of the top 9 noteworthy multifamily developments to debut in 2022 by Building Design + Construction!  

This development is a nine-story, 409-unit rental complex occupies three acres in an old industrial site in West Midtown. The beautiful design of this project emphasizes hospitality in the rooftop pool and terrace, clubroom, lounge, bar, library, theater, game room, and community garden and greenhouse.

2022 ULI Award for Excellence in Civil/Institutional Development Award!

A huge congratulations to the Atlanta Mission Restoration House project team as they are the winners of the 2022 ULI Atlanta Excellence in Civil/Institutional Development Award!

The construction of this 44,385 SF innovative shelter for women and children experiencing homelessness provided an overnight shelter, meals, resource referrals, and medical care and has allowed the Mission to expand its day services by 30% and create 102 shelter beds for those in need. The new facility has allowed Atlanta Mission to serve more women and children while expanding its services and fulfilling its mission.

EM Structural was honored to donate services to such an impactful and meaningful project.

2022 Triangle CREW Award for Community Enhancement

A huge congratulations to the Willard Street Apartment project team as they are the winners of the 2022 Triangle CREW’s Community Enhancement award! 

As the state’s first transit-oriented affordable housing project, this 6-story, mixed-use development features 82 units and 5,000 SF of commercial space. 75% of units have been set aside for those with household incomes 60% or below Durham’s average. Among other amenities, the development includes Local Start Dental, a nonprofit that provides dental services to low-income residents, a picnic shelter, a playground, a fitness center, a kitchen, and laundry facilities.

AIA 2022 Housing Award for One- and Two-Family Custom Residences

The Highland Park Residence project team was honored to receive the AIA 2022 Housing Award for One- and Two-Family Custom Residences! 

This stunning custom residence was completed over the course of 30 months, with strong partnerships with the owners as well as a landscape architect to ensure cohesiveness of design and execution. The main concept behind this home was to create a unique setting for an active family, with an expansive collection of contemporary art and three young children.

AIA Potomac Valley 2021 Excellence in Design Merit Award for Multi-Family Housing Architecture Project

The Modera Reynoldstown project team was honored to receive the AIA Potomac Valley 2021 Excellence in Design Merit Award for Multi-Family Architecture!

 
This 5-story, mixed-use development featuring 320 units and 18,500 SF of retail—takes its inspiration from the neighborhood’s historic, industrial roots and its existing, eclectic style. Pedestrian and vehicular circulation were considered with an internal, tree-lined, road that bisects the building and leads to the rest of the site and the above-grade parking deck. Among other amenities, the community consists of electric charging stations, a hidden speakeasy, co-working spaces, and individual rooftop terraces!
