Nine15

This project is a 24-story high rise apartment building in downtown Tampa, FL. It is a concrete frame, using post-tensioned concrete slabs, braced with concrete shear walls. The building is supported on caissons drilled deep to competent rock. There is an elevated pool structured by deep PT beams, along with an open exterior amenity space at Level 8. A penthouse level with Sky Club is situated at the top level. EM Structural devised a “stepped” column system on the east face of the building to allow for the columns to transition from the allotted space in the parking and retail spaces to their intended position in the upper residential units. A very efficient shear wall design allowed for a cost-effective and non-intrusive design
