Bainbridge Southend Apartments sits right in the middle of Charlotte’s bustling South End corridor. Positioned between South Boulevard and the Lynx Blue Line and Rail Trail, this 200-unit, seven-story mid-rise offers two structured parking levels below a five-story type IIIA wood-framed superstructure. An elevated pool courtyard faces South Boulevard with a wood-framed amenity terrace and loft units facing Uptown.  

Varied grade elevations across the site involved basement conditions with aggregate pier soil improvement across part of the site. Two levels of post-tensioned slabs and five levels of type IIIA wood framed construction comprise the structure. The structure also includes concrete ordinary reinforced moment frame lateral resisting system, a post tensioned concrete transfer podium and shallow concrete spread footings on ground improvement on part of the site.
