Broadstone Queen City

Broadstone Queen City is 260 unit mixed used structure just outside uptown Charlotte, North Carolina.    The building will include amenities on several levels such as a fitness center, glass front pool, and a rooftop lounge area.

This structure consists of 5 levels of Type III timber framing over 3 levels of elevated post tensioned concrete slabs. There is an additional small 4th level of post tensioned concrete transfer slab above a poolside club area.  Additional walk up town home units are located in the concrete levels and are framed with cold formed metal studs.  The lowest level is partially subterranean so extensive retaining walls were used around the site.   Foundations will be shallow footings supported on an aggregate pier system.
