Rome Courtyard

This limited service hotel is located in downtown Rome Georgia at the intersection of the Coosa River and the Oostanaula River. The project included two levels of cast in place post tensioned concrete for parking. Above the parking is one level of concrete podium and 3 levels of wood framing for the hotel rooms.

Due to the poor soils adjacent to the Rivers, driven steel piles were required for a foundation system. Bridge structures coming from the River were tied in the Hotel by means of an extensive walkway system.

The amenity level has a gracious pool & dining area with great views of the River.

A combination of wood shear walls and concrete moment frames were used for the alter force resisting system.
