SkyPoint Condominiums

Located in Downtown Tampa, FL, SkyPoint is a high-rise mixed-use development. It includes 381 residential units, including two walk-in units with direct garage access.

Boasting 32 stories, the building is situated atop seven levels of enclosed parking, providing 534 spaces virtually column free. The building features extensive architectural concrete at the perimeter, 60’ long span, post-tensioned girders, and one-way post-tensioned slabs in the parking levels.

7-foot, two-way, post-tensioned flat plates were used in the residential tower. Residential units in levels two through seven are isolated by a 2” joint to prevent parking slab vibrations from affecting residential slabs. Long-span girders in the parking deck provide open, virtually column-free parking layout. The amenity deck slab is a 10”, 7,000 psi post-tensioned slab that accommodates heavy loads from the suspended pool and several depressed areas for landscape planters and pavers. Internal shear walls at the elevator and stair cores provides the lateral system. Foundations are auger cast piles bearing on limestone. Wind tunnel studies were utilized for wind pressure optimization.
