HUB at The Banks

Located at the Banks, an area of Cincinnati, Ohio that is borders the Ohio River and nestled between the Bengals stadium and the Reds stadium, this office tower is a key component of the revitalization of the city of Cincinnati.

The building is 10 stories of office space on top of four levels of parking and retail. Parking and retail were already constructed or under construction as part of previous projects, so coordination with previous design teams was paramount.

The structural system is a one-way slab with 21 inch deep beams and joists providing large open spaces as required by class A office spaces. The lateral system is an ordinary moment frame for the office tower that transfers from shear walls that were originally planned for the site and installed in the lower levels.

Atlanta Dairies

Located in Atlanta, GA, the new Atlanta Dairies 4 story office building will house 40,000 square feet of creative office space.  The building will be connected to adjacent historic buildings and new development with steel catwalk structures.

The structural system consists of composite structural steel framing supporting concrete slabs on composite metal deck.  The lateral forces will be resisted by braced frame at the building stairs and elevators.  There will be an extensive system of exterior catwalks, roof decks, and steel catwalks connecting to existing structures on the site.  The structure is supported by shallow concrete spread footings bearing on rammed aggregate pier ground improvement.  The lowest level consists of a slab on grade.
