AIA 2022 Housing Award for One- and Two-Family Custom Residences

The Highland Park Residence project team was honored to receive the AIA 2022 Housing Award for One- and Two-Family Custom Residences! 

This stunning custom residence was completed over the course of 30 months, with strong partnerships with the owners as well as a landscape architect to ensure cohesiveness of design and execution. The main concept behind this home was to create a unique setting for an active family, with an expansive collection of contemporary art and three young children.

Triangle Business Journal 2022 SPACE Award for Mixed-Use Development

This 6-story, mixed-use development featuring 82 units and 5,000 SF of commercial space is the state’s first transit-oriented affordable housing project. 75% of units have been set aside for those with household incomes 60 percent or below Durham’s average. Among other amenities, the development includes Local Start Dental, a nonprofit that provides dental services to low-income residents, a picnic shelter, a playground, a fitness center, a kitchen, and laundry facilities.
