Project Manager
Ellinwood + Machado, LLC

EM Structural is looking for a mid level structural engineer (7-15 year’s experience) who wants to be part of a growing team of engineers, works well on a team, and is self motivated. As a mid level structural engineer, you will be expected to have working knowledge of several different construction types including concrete, steel, and timber; and be able to perform designs independently with oversight from a Principal or Senior Project Manager. Responsibilities:

  • Perform hand calculations based on engineering principles and building code requirements.

Construction Administration Specialist

EM Structural is looking for an Construction Administration Specialist who wants to be part of a growing team, works well in a group, and is self motivated.  As a Construction Administration Specialist you would be involved in coordinating the office construction administration on a variety of projects.    This is a full time position offering competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and future career potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to understand and read construction documents and specifications.
  • Understanding of structural design principals and concepts.
  • Organize and execute all phases of construction administration as required on a project need basis.
  • Review shop drawings and project submittal data.
  • Observe construction and generate written field report  for clients summarizing on site observations.
  • Maintain active communication with contractors, clients, and team members for any construction related issue.
  • Ability to generate plan revisions and bulletin drawings using either AutoCAD or Revit as the project requires.

BIM Technician

Raleigh, NC; Arlington, VA; Charlotte, NC

EM Structural is looking for a BIM Technician who wants to be part of a growing team, works well in a group, and is self motivated.  As a BIM Technician you would be involved in all technical aspects of structural drafting/modeling and the ability to coordinate with engineers.    This is a full time position offering competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and future career potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Have a strong competency using Revit Structure and/or AutoCAD.
  • Experience working on multi-family residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
  • Have the ability to coordinate with our engineers and others within the firm.
  • Be a part of a team of BIM technicians across all offices of the firm and coordinate drafting/modeling techniques across offices.
  • Create BIM Execution Plans.

Qualifications:

  • Architecture- or Engineering degree, or Associate’s degree in related field is a plus
  • Relevant experience with building materials including: structural steel, mild concrete, post-tensioned concrete, wood, and masonry.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.
